Why I Started MENTOR

I didn’t start MENTOR just because I had a good idea. I started it because I needed it.
As a Latina in education and leadership, I’ve experienced layoffs, moments of invisibility, and the emotional toll of constantly having to prove myself—despite showing up with heart, credentials, and results.
But I’ve also had mentors who saw me, challenged me, and reminded me of my worth when I needed it most. Their belief made all the difference.
MENTOR was born from that space between struggle and support. It’s a network for professionals, educators, and youth who deserve support that’s accessible, real, and rooted in purpose.
Because I know what it feels like to be overlooked. And I know what it means to rise when someone says, “I see you. Let’s grow.”
MENTOR exists to be that voice and that space. A space to lead with confidence, clarity, and care.
